K. P. Brahmanandan (Malayalam:കെ. പി. ബ്രഹ്മാനന്ദൻ; 22 February 1946 – 10 August 2004) was a South Indian playback singer from Kerala.[1] He has sung more than 160 songs in Malayalam films.[2]
Brahmanandan was born in Kadakkavoor, which is located north of Trivandrum district in Kerala. His father was a pioneer in boat architecture and his name has taken him far beyond boundaries. Brahmanandan was the father of Rakesh Brahmanandan, noted Malayalam singer.[3]
Brahmanandan died at his home in Kadakkavoor on 10 August 2004, at the age of 58.[1] He was a chronic diabetic and also suffered from various other health problems. He is survived by his wife Usha, son Rakesh and daughter Athira.
